Where can you buy corn tortilla shells? I want to make homemade hard taco shells. The recipe calls for CORN tortillas. But all I could find at the grocery store were about 20 different kinds of FLOUR tortilla shells. Does anyone sell these things?

Do tortilla chips need to be put in the fridge? We bought a big bag of tortilla chips from Costco. I am sure we won't be able to finish the whole bag before the expiration date. Do tortilla chips need to be put in the fridge? Thanks.

Have you used a tortilla press to make a chapattis? If you have how did that work out? Earlier on I asked if a tortilla press was the same as a chapattis press. I got great answers. I am know that traditionally people make chapattis with a rolling pin or by hand. I am new to cooking and would like to use a simpler form to make chapattis .

Help me choose a good tortilla recipe? Of course there are lots of recipes for for tortillas on the internet, but I am not sure what characteristics to look for so I can pick a recipe that will give me the kind of tortilla I want. What I want is a tortilla for making burritos. I like to really pack those burritos full of stuff, so I need a tortilla that is sort of stretchy, so it will stretch and not tear, and accommodate all the contents. I normally buy Azteca brand flour tortillas and they tear so easily. Taco Bell burrito shells are a little better but not the best. Qdoba burrito shells are the best ones I've tried, if I could make a tortilla at home like those ones it would be great. Seriously, I ordered a Qdoba burrito once that was stuffed so full I needed both hands to hold it and it was heavy too, but it didn't tear at all!

As a kid did you ever eat cold hot dogs wrapped in a tortilla? OMG, I used to LOVE cold hot dogs in a tortilla. It was so South side! LOL Sometimes we would warm the tortilla on the stove but it had a different taste when both were cold. How to make homemade tortilla taquitos? While making taquitos with store bought corn tortillas is easy. I am having a difficult time with making them with home made tortillas. I use the recipe for tortillas on the back of the masa package. The tortillas turn out delicious (I use a tortilla press and cast iron pan for cooking). When I try to make taquitos though they don't roll well and crack to easily (I have used the steam and also the oil and microwave method to soften them before frying).
