Tortilla - What are some good books to read?

What are some good books to read?

I used to read this series called "Redwall" and a book called "Phoenix Rising" by Karen Hesse. Right now, I am reading John Steinbeck's "Tortilla Flat", but my favorite book is "Castaways of the Flying Dutchman" by Brian Jacques. Any other suggestions?
Plz tell me what the book is about in your answer.
I also liked "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and "Around the World In 80 Days" by Jules Verne.

Left behind series were good.
Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn. A book that will guarenteeably change your life forever. In fact, the book is so good, and so accurate that it is often used as manditory material in many university classes.
One of the classics: any of Hesse.

if you like horror here are some of my favorites. i like insomnia by stephen king and any books by mary higgins clark or john saul are good. hope this helps

I like this book: it's called THe Handmaid's Tale
Try "Fever 1793" by Laurie Halse Anderson. It is about hte Yellow Fever epidemic in Philadelphia. So Good!

Also, Try "A Little Princess" By Frances Hodgson Burnett.

A little girl is at a bording school when she hears that her father is dead.

"Hoot" by Carl Hiaasen is about a boy who is trying to save some rare owls. These are some of the best books I know.

In series, Try "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis. A new world is created and discovered by many people. It is all conected in strange ways.

"The Time Quartet" by Madeline l'engle is about The Murray family and there travels through time and space.
