how do i keep my tortilla chips crispy when i make nachos?

when i make nachos ,i first spread cold beans on the chips , then top with cheese and broil until the cheese melts. the tortilla chips always loose thier snap. am i doing something wrong?

1. warm up the cheese and beans and then dip the chips.
2. You're not doing anything wrong. Nachos usually have some crispy chips and some not-so-crispy chips and even some soggy chips.
   
   
   
   If you want more crispy chips try using fewer beans, spread the chips out in an even layer and try baking your nachos instead of broiling.
