What can you make with the broken up pieces of tortilla chips at the bottom of a bag?
I get a lot of good chips for my money, but I still end up with a good amount of broken tortilla chips at the bottom of a bag that are hard to eat and useless for dipping. The chips still taste awesome, of course.
Do you have a recipe or snack idea for what I could do with them?

- Use them on the top of Tortilla Soup. Here's a recipe:

- ground beef velveeta and salsa
cook ground beef drain
add velveeta and salsa
melt in oven mix
drop chip crumbs on top and use other tortilla chips to pick it up
- Crush them up and use them as breading for chicken fried steak. At least, that's what we do here in Texas.
- Funny you should ask, I had the same dilemma last week. I had been collecting the bits for a while. I made a tortilla casserole. Cover the bottom of a baking pan with a can of re-fried beans. Add a layer of browned ground beef, (saute beef with onions, garlic and chili powder), crush all your tortilla chips and layer over beef mixture. Pour a can of any type of tomatoes you like i.e. (stewed chili style, diced tomatoes etc.) over the chips. Sprinkle generously with your favourite cheese, ( I used Monteray Jack) and bake until cheese is bubbly. Serve with salsa and sour cream. Yummy
